How It All Started

The people I meet at school pickup, in the grocery store, at work, and in meetings- are nothing like the people I see online.

What's real and why is no one talking about the layers that make up our lives, our motherhood, our career?

How does it feel like I'm failing while working this hard?

Craving connection and not getting lost in the (literal) shuffle

stories of our multifaceted lives

Years ago, as my family re-emerged from our pandemic days, I had an idea for a podcast. Our lives had changed since 2020 and it felt like I was starting over again in many ways.

Two of my kids were in full time school, one in part time preschool, and one toddler at home still. There was no time to meet up with people- my days were jam packed. To be honest, I felt pretty lonely. There seemed to be pockets of parents that I had spent time with that didn’t feel like the right fit anymore.

Those pandemic years made me realize how little I did to fill my own bucket in the years leading up to lockdown. I was determined to not let that be the life I came back to, and I knew there were probably other moms out there that felt the same way. Moms that were putting themselves back on the list, taking time for themselves- beyond the bubble bath and tea trope.

It took 2 years to bring AND/BOTH out into the world. In the fall of 2023 my youngest started part time preschool and I had the space to record and launch the podcast. It’s been every bit as incredible as I thought it would be. Meeting moms from all ages and stages of parenting that are choosing to fill their bucket in whatever way works for them, whether it’s 5 minutes of meditation or building a business and everything in between.

Join me each week to hear their incredible stories over at AND/BOTH and don’t forget to subscribe!
